Her family has kept their grief private since her death but faced with frustration over a lack of progress in the case, they're now asking for the public's help in finding her killer. Sarsten's sister, Sandy Friedrichs, says it was no random murder. Friedrichs says, "the evidence tells me her cigarette still burning in the ash tray, with no violence in the house or on the back porch..things tipped over, everything nice and quiet as it was, that she probably knew who it was." Another sister, Judy Stephenson says their hoping to get tips from the public after the Crimestopper's posters go up but it's emotionally difficult. Stephenson says, "I'm angry that Crimestopper's had to print these, I'm angry that we have to go put them up in stores so that the public can remember that someone was killed and hope that somebody will come forward with any piece of information. I'm angry that you have to interview me because it's not how it should be." The Snohomish County Sheriff's department says the investigation is still active. Sarsten's murder is even featured in the state's first deck of cold case playing cards handed out to inmates in hopes of soliciting tips. Sarsten is on the ace of diamonds, which her sister Kathy Anderberg says suits her. Anderberg says, "She's very sparkly, she loved diamonds and had a kind of ace personality so when I heard that's her card, it fit so perfectly." A vibrant woman that they're convinced was killed by someone she knew, a murder someone has information about but is too scared to share it. It happened in around 2:30 am at a Tukwila apartment in the 5700 block of South 152nd St. Carlos Wayne "Loot" Ellison U.S. Marshal Tom Lanier says a witness told detectives Ellison's own 15 month old child was in the room at the time. Lanier says, "The witness to the shooting said that Ellison and his friend started arguing over a debt. He picked up the child to make sure he wasn't in the middle of the fight. At which point he turned and heard a loud bang and saw Ellison shoot his friend." Lanier says they believe Ellison is still in the area. He has family in Burien and Northbend and friends in Renton Highlands. Ward's sister-in-law Sade Harris is angry Ellison hasn't turned himself in. She would have been 30 years old this year if not for the deadly fire, but she wasn't the only victim that night. Nancy Lumlee's son Michael was 19 years old when he woke to flames and heavy smoke in the Richmond Beach condo he shared with his dad, Bruno Vilumsons. Lumlee says, "When he went down the stairs he tried to cover his face which was the best thing he could have done because the rest of his body was severely burned. Michael barely made it out alive and suffered 3rd degree burns over half his body. His father never woke up. Lumlee says, ”All he remembers is screaming at the bottom of the steps, I guess the fire units had already arrived, get my dad, get my dad, get my dad!” Across the hall, 8 year old Christa and her mom were trapped by the flames in the bathroom..her mom survived..but the smoke was too much for the little girl. Christa's father's Steve Silverii lives in Arkansas now but has never given up hope that someone will come forward to help solve his daughter's death. Silverii says, “She would have grown up to be a great adult justice for her is really what I'm looking for.” Investigators determined the fire started in the 3rd floor hallway between the units and there was no question it was arson. Lumlee says her ex-husband had a bad gambling habit but could he have gotten in so deep that somebody wanted him dead? Lumlee says, “Absolutely, I could see him having a lot of enemies, he was a hothead." The King County Sheriff's Department says the case is cold. There are no leads and no-one has ever been arrested. Silverii hopes on this anniversary of his daughter's death, someone will come forward and give his family peace. Silverii says, “She was friendly and she shouldn't have been involved in somebody else's problem and lost her life at that time.” As for Michael, he spent a decade recovering from the severe physical and mental injures....he later became a minister with World Outreach in Uganda where he met his wife. Lumlee is looking forward to grandchildren but can't forget what happened to her son. They say she was present when the victim, Vance St. Clair, was savagely attacked by four or five young men at 3rd and Lenora in Belltown after 12:30am on May 20. St. Clair died at Harborview Medical Center from his injuries two weeks later. Police say Hartfield knew the victim and may have a connection to the suspects. Hartfield is described as 44 years old, 5'4" and 190 lbs. Police say she frequents the area of 20th and Yesler St. In Seattle's Central Area. Her mother was away on a business trip when it happened. Her daughter told her what happened when she returned home. Detective Kevin Grossman says Thomas was arrested in November of 2004 and he initially cooperated. Mcmahon was wanted in connection with the murder of a 62 year old mentally ill man at a group home in North Seattle. Five others have also been arrested. Police are still searching for Mcmahon's 1992 Light blue Chevy Pick Up. Washington License plate number: A82078S. They believe the suspect used the truck to transport the victim. Mack is 25 years old and has connections to the Lake City area and has family in Las Vegas. He is described as a white male, with blue eyes, brown hair and is 5'11 tall. Alejandro Gonzalez Alcantara Alejandro "Alex" Gonzalez Alcantara is accused of attacking a Seattle woman at her residence in 2004. He is charged with Attempted Rape 1st Degree . Police have not been able to locate the suspect. They believe he may have fled to Mexico. Gonzalez Alcantara is described as an Hispanic male, 33 years old. He is 5'9 tall and weighs 185 lbs. Captured July 14, 2008: Dallas Lyn Lessley Dallas Lyn Lessley is considered armed and dangerous. He is a non-registered sex offender. Lessley attempted to kill his girlfriend in April 2008. Lessley has made threats to take down as many police officers as he can if he is faced with jail time or taken into custody. There is a Felony Warrant against him. Assault 2 – Strangulation. Chad Larkin Police are searching for Chris Larkin, also known as "Catfish." He is 36 years old. Larkin also goes by Christopher Moore, claiming to be 32 years old. There are 3 drug felony warrants against Larkin. He is described as a white male, 6'2 tall and 185lbs. Police say he may be a transient living in Downtown Seattle. Thomas Schofield Police are searching for Thomas Schofield. He has a drug felony warrant against him. Schofield is a 33 year old white male, 5'5 tall and 150 lbs with blue eyes and brown hair.
